Sudbury Pride Week Events
July 8 – July 14, 2024
Sudbury Pride History
The first official Pride March held in Sudbury took place in July of 1997, organized by a coalition of service providers and community advocates concerned about recent, local workplace harassment and incidents of discrimination motivated by homophobic attitudes. By 2006, the Pride March expanded to an entire Pride Week, now led by Fierté Sudbury Pride and celebrated annually.[1] Réseau ACCESS Network provided organizing support for that first march and continues to support local 2S-LGBTQ+ members of community through various initiatives all year, and especially during Pride Week celebrations.
This past year, the Agency has prioritized events and activities that bring various age groups and 2S-LGBTQ+ identities together. Check out what’s happening by clicking on the dates below!
